As a community outreach, we at Optivita Nutrition offer free educational seminars that cover topics such as: nutrition, resistance training, cardiovascular exercises, and supplement requirements. These seminars last about an hour to an hour and a half and teach the TRUTH about diet and exercise.
In-House Seminars:
Our in-house seminars are offered in places of business or in private homes. One of our consultants will bring a projector and lap top computer to illustrate the topics being covered and pass out handouts for everyone to follow with. We cover topics such as:
- Nutrition: Why most diets fail, popular fad diets and why they never work, glycemic indexes of popular carbs, energy balances, calorie modulation, blood sugar control, famine states, and much more!
- Resistance Training: You will learn the differences between fast and slow twitch muscles and why that is important, proper ways to split your training program, what different training styles are for and why most of them are just a waste of time, when and how to stretch, plus more.
- Cardiovascular Exercises: Learn the difference between over-distance and HIIT cardio, find out which is better at different times of the day, find out how many calories cardio really does burn and its effectiveness, learn how insulin levels can impact the amount of fat you burn, know your target heart rate zone and how you can use it to your advantage, plus more.
- Supplements: Learn which supplements are truly needed, find out why we need to take supplements and its impact on our long term health, learn the difference between what the RDA, ODA, and PDA suggest, plus much more.
